T-256, Hydra Tyrant

This was the main Tyrant for my Resident Evil Fanfic and was named The Hydra for it's impressive regenerative powers. When the Hydra consumed either T or G virus cells, they would stimulate the Hydra's normal cells to divide at unnaturally high speeds for a short time. This practice, however, must be kept in check or the Hydra's cells would become cancerous. The Hydra was essentially a weapon for jungle combat, due to the high maintenance nature of it's cells it's body operates most efficiently in high moisture environments and the same humidity helps as an enhancer to the Hydra's perceptive senses.
The Hydra hunts with a combination of thermal, electromagnetic, and olfactory senses with equal orientation to all three. The complimentory sense structure make it nearly impossible to hide from the Hydra under normal conditions. These factors, and the Tyrant's natural physical prowess, add for a very effective combat agent.
The Hydra design, however, is not perfect and was only created to be a counterpart to another Tyrant, the Nemesis.
The Hydra's flaws seemingly act to balance it's assets in potency. First, the Hydra has little to no reasoning power; requiring specific data points and operation objectives to be tediously programed into it's brain. This leaves no margine for error in briefing and is a high liability to most clients. Second, although the Hydra is an effective killing machine, it's can only engage in close-quarters combat and is comparatively small and weak to most other Tyrants.
